Our history

A passionate photographer, Luca Delachaux received his degree in photography in June 2011 at the age of 21. The Delachaux workshop opened soon after, working alongside construction companies, architects and other clients requiring construction photography.

Construction was deeply familiar to Luca, learning to master and photograph every aspect as he followed his father’s work as an architect.

Beyond construction, technical photography was a natural calling for Luca Delachaux, who would also specialise in art reproduction. This technique consists of producing a facsimile by photographing a work under extremely precise lighting conditions.

At the same time, Luca fell in love with analogue photography. Without access to a laboratory which could meet his demands for quality and the services he wanted, he went on to open his own structure.

The laboratory expanded and upgraded with the acquisition of cutting-edge equipment, allowing it to meet the increasingly specific needs of its clients. FineArt printing for photographers and galleries is now one of the Atelier Delachaux photograpgie’s key assets, combining art and colorimetry management.

In 2016, Atelier Delachaux Photographie expanded and moved into the centre of Lausanne, where the photography studio, the chemical darkroom and the digital laboratory could finally be brought under the same roof and offer a warm, welcoming space for clients.

In 2017, Atelier Delachaux Photographie joined the family of companies providing training for students taking a CFC diploma in photography.

In 2020, Atelier Delachaux Photographie evolved into a limited liability company (Sàrl), and the following year, photographer Rui Rodrigues was hired as a part-time laboratory technician. The company trained its second apprentice, David Domingues.

In 2022, Era Ramadani joined the team as an apprentice.

In 2023, David completed his CFC in Photography, started his own independent business, and was hired as a part-time laboratory technician within the company. That same year, Ines Lazzari joined the team as a part-time executive assistant.
